I've been a mortgage broker in South Delta for 12 years, and I'm based in Ladner. I like a coffee chat, making pizza on weekends, and a good home renovation. Above all, I'm a father and a husband.

My story

I didn't plan to be a mortgage broker. After years with FedEx Express, an injury sent me looking for a new career.

I went back to school, through the mortgage broker program at UBC's Sauder School of Business. Real estate was the obvious choice, but I knew too many realtors in South Delta already, so I knew that wasn't my road. I chose the part of buying a home that nobody finds interesting.

That turned out to be the point. Most people have never had their mortgage explained to them. They sign what the bank sends. When I show someone what their money could be doing instead, there's a moment where they lean in and say, 'Wait, how does that work?' That moment is why I do this.

How I work

Four steps. No pressure at any of them.

See it.
After we talk, I record a short video walking through your options with your own numbers. Watch it at home, as many times as you like.
Understand it.
We go through it together. Ask anything. If I use a word you don't know, stop me.
Decide it.
Every cost in writing. If the right answer is to stay where you are, I'll tell you.
Keep it working.
I don't disappear after the keys. I stay in touch as your plans change.

The mortgage is the start, not the finish.

Most brokers are done when the mortgage funds. I'd like that to be where the better part begins.
I check in, and I get in touch well before your renewal so there's time to look at your options. If your mortgage isn't working for you, or you need to pull equity, tell me and I'll show you what's available.
I want working with me afterward to be better than getting the mortgage was.

Away from work

I make pizza from scratch. Dough, sauce, baking, all of it. I also drink a lot of coffee, and I'm always glad to share one, in person in South Delta or over video.
